Experience Description:
Visiting Castelhanos beach (one of the best known and most beautiful beaches on the island) can be done by sea or by crossing the Estrada do Parque Estadual de Ilhabela in 4X4 vehicles. There are some options to access this beach: round trip by Jeep, where the visitor crosses the entire extension of the State Park, with stops at some waterfalls and lookouts. Going by jeep and returning by boat; or trip by boat and return by jeep; where you can navigate one of the stretches along the north side of the island (stopping at some beaches - depending on the sea conditions), and the other stretch in a 4X4 vehicle crossing the State Park, stopping at waterfalls and lookout points. Or go back and forth by boat.
Arriving at Praia de Castelhanos, there is the viewpoint of the heart to take that beautiful photo; in addition to many options of bars and restaurants with delicious caiçara food options. The return is at the end of the afternoon and the arrival around 17 hours.
